This is a very good and important question!

The single most important reason is because we do not want brokers to have access to our member-provider's information.  Sold under the guise of "being able to more easily download trips" and "receive payments more quickly," brokers are notorious for viewing provider transports in hopes of determining shorter routes to reduce the rate of reimbursement.  

For example, a provider might need to drive 10 miles to deliver a customer to their appointment.  However, by having access to the provider's account, the broker determines the provider should have taken a shorter 7-mile route - not taking into consideration rush hour traffic, driver's previous location, or a host of other variables.  

In short, giving brokers, or any other third party, access to your dispatching platforms, access to other customers and accounts not affiliated with them is never a good idea.  For this reason, DME is committed to protecting our member-providers and their associated information.

Yes, absolutely.  You can create various "Rate Management" profiles that feature itemized pricing for any number of accounts or contracts.  After performing a transport, users can create individual itemized invoices or add invoices to statements for regular billing.  Once payment is received, invoice and statements can be marked "Paid."

Great question!  Many DME users and facilities love the convenience of this functionality because it affords everyone the convenience of communicating directly online versus having to tie up phone lines, risk being on hole, interrupted, or anything else associated with busy schedules.  Furthermore, all correspondence and messaging are time stamped and archived in the event of the need to reference them again at a later date. 

With DME, transportation providers will create facility profile accounts.  Facilities can then send you trip requests that will appear as "pending" until your dispatchers accept and approve the trip.  

Once approved and scheduled, facility staff can monitor trip status, see which driver(s) will be arriving to perform the trip as well as view all data and statistics.  This convenient functionality will help with trip verification for payments in accordance with contracts and service agreements.
